But it was an achievement of some magnitude and a whole generation was saved the horrors of the blitz and it's associated shortages. From a huge collection of children's fancy dress and WWII costumes, our wartime girl evacuee costume is sure to create the right look and it comprises of a short sleeved teal green floral patterned dress which is stylised to the 1940s. The dress has a bodice styled top with a turn over collar and puffed sleeves. The knee length skirt is slightly gathered at the waist. This evocative costume comes with a matching hair band. This is a stylised WWII costume and is ideal for school productions and book weeks.
