Okay, let’s get straight to the elephant in the room. National Lasagna Day? Well, actually it's a real event and it's celebrated all over the world on July 29^th.  We're not sure that we all want to eat Lasagne on the same day but we can recognise a great opportunity for a costume party when we come across one. And who knows, it might even grow in popularity. Now everyone dressing as a lump of lasagne might be a bit 'samey' so we would suggest you extend it to an Italian themed party and in this blog we have some great costume ideas - as well as just some of our accessories.  

The month of June is known across most of the world as being Gay Pride Parade month. Originally a political demonstration, thankfully today it has more of a Mardi-Gras feeling with music, fun and colour taking over the streets of most major cities as the parades pass through. And you don't have to be a member of the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender community to join in with the fun, like carnivals everywhere, the more the merrier. 

For years the English had always been thought of as being a reserved bunch but this myth was well and truly exploded when the miniskirt appeared on the scene around the middle years of the Swinging Sixties. And with the recent explosion of interest in historical costumes and with films like Austin Powers continually being used as a costume party theme, what better time is there to look at just a few of the 60s costumes available?
