Karnival Costumes online party shop blog - Wear a Hat Day Every March to Raise Funds for Brain Tumor RsearchEach year on various dates depending on where you happen to be in the world, people join together and wear all sorts of zany and serious hats and headwear in-order to raise cash which goes towards the fight against the devastating impact of brain tumours.

Wear a Hat Day was the creation of the Brain Tumour Research group of charities in the UK who created the concept in 2008 and organised the first event in 2010.  From the outset, the public warmed to the idea as well as the aims of the appeal and it has quickly become part of the accepted charitable events calendar.

In the UK, Wear a Hat day is held in March and the power of the hat should not be underestimated as in 2014 this single event funded the entire research team for 20 days across all of its research centres. Funds are urgently needed to advance the research, identify the causes, advance the right treatments and ultimately find a cure for brain tumours.
